About
Right-Sized Homes, LLC. was created by David Feldman with the goal of developing smarter homes. The idea that smarter, sustainable homes, were superior to larger homes, has been the message of this company since its founding in 2007. These “Right-Sized Homes” are made to meet the needs of their occupants and to fit into the context of their given neighborhoods. With rare foresight of the forthcoming burst of the housing bubble, Mr. Feldman set out to develop homes that provide sustainable housing, and reduce energy consumption. Energy efficiency and manageable heating and cooling as well as furnishing and maintenance over time assures that these homes are ones that homeowners can, and will want to, sustain and which will provide them with affordable and stable housing over time.
With sustainability in mind, these “Right-Sized Homes” also work to maintain neighborhood stability. Often these homes are infill or rehabilitation projects*. Right-Sized Homes, LLC., works to fill gaps or remove blight from neighborhoods that are at risk of decline. With thoughtful intervention into neighborhoods that contribute to sustainable, earth-friendly lifestyles, (public transportation close at hand, infrastructure of water and public sanitary lines, gas, electric and cable services all in place, walkable routes to stores, schools and parks) and where neighbors know and care for each other, Right-Sized Homes, LLC. helps to maintain quality of life.
Right-Sized-Homes, LLC. also works with private for-profit and community non-profit developers, as a project manager or joint venture partner. From initial site identification and project feasibility, through planning, design, and construction including marketing of the completed project Right-Sized Homes, LLC. is involved in developing sustainable living throughout the region.
